Welcome to Marjorie Moeser Fine Art
Marjorie Moeser paints in the Southwest U.S.A., Canada and the South of France.
Initially a plein air painter, Moeser's work is now decidedly abstract or non-objective.
Her abstract/non-objective paintings are inspired by her surroundings, often reflecting a philosophical or spiritual mood, derived largely from influences in New Mexico. The paintings that are influenced by the ambience of Southern France tend to reflect the joie de vivre of that European milieu.
Hers is a vibrant palette, influenced as she is by the strong colors in both the American Southwest (New Mexico) and the South of France (the Mediterranean).
The brilliant light in both of these places plays a large part in her compositions.
